Community Assistance

The Community Assistance program is not limited to Hope Harbor residents. It is open to all in our community, including single men. If you are in need of the items or services below, visit our Service Center to complete a small form.

What is Community Assistance?

We receive and process donated goods and distribute those goods to those in need through our program. We also provide items and other services through funding and monetary donations.

Donations to our Community Assistance program can be dropped off or mailed to our Service Center located at 615 W 1st Street, during our office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm) or after hours at the southeast entrance of our Shelter located at 610 W Division Street. If you need to make a donation after hours, please call our Direct Care Staff at (308) 383-4634.

Items provided:

  • Food Boxes

  • Hygiene Items

  • Baby Formula

  • Diapers

  • Furniture (when available)

  • Household Items, including but not limited to, bedding; kitchen utensils; silverware; plates; pots and pans; etc. (when available)

Services Provided:

  • Individualized Referrals and Budgeting Assistance

  • Transportation Assistance (in special circumstances)

  • Gas Vouchers (primarily for medical and/or immigration appointments)

  • Bus Vouchers
