Liz joined Hope Harbor in September 2014 and moved to the role of Executive Director in December 2016. Before joining Hope Harbor, she worked as a Marketing Coordinator for four years, and as a staffing industry Employment Coordinator for two years. She served on the board for Grand Island Community Youth Council for five years and is a previous steering committee member for Connecting Young Nebraskans. She graduated from Doane University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Communication and is a Leadership Tomorrow Alumni (Class 31). Liz is a steering committee member for Project Homeless Connect and is a member of Grand Island Public Relations (GIPR). She lives in Grand Island with her husband and three children.
Jen joined Hope Harbor in April 2015 as the Administrative Assistant. Before joining Hope Harbor, she worked as a Payroll Coordinator for two years and spent seven years in the hospitality industry. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2008 and is currently pursuing an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Central Community College. She is the Board Secretary for Habitat for Humanity in addition to serving on its Family Support committee.
Jodie joined Hope Harbor in March 2013 as Direct Staff and became a case manager on 6/29/15. Jodie grew up in Grand Island however she lives outside of Grand Island with her husband John. She has three children Jessi, Melissa and Greg. She also has 4 grandchildren, Izek, Eleanor, Piper and Axel. Jodie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Kaplan University’s online program in June 2016. She was a member on Kaplan’s Student Advisory Board. Jodie is involved with Region 3’s Trauma Informed Care, Hall County Collaboration and Hall County Drug Court. Jodie and her husband enjoy spending time with family, deer hunting, camping, and working on the family farm.
Shannon grew up in Grand Island, and earned an Associate's Degree in Human Services from Central Community College in 2014. She joined the Hope Harbor team as the Assistant Service Coordinator in September 2013, and became a Case Manager in June 2014. Shannon grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 2009. She then went on to earn an Associate's Degree in Human Services from Central Community College in 2014. She joined the Hope Harbor team as the Assistant Service Coordinator in September 2013, and became a Case Manager in June 2014. Shannon currently lives in Grand Island with her 9 year old son Aiden. Additionally she is an active member of the Association of Child Abuse Prevention and the Grand Island Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
Tish joined the Hope Harbor staff in February 2016 as an Assistant Service Coordinator. In August 2016, she was promoted to Case Manager. Prior to joining Hope Harbor, Tish was a Resident Advocate at the Good Samaritan Society in Grand Island, Nebraska. She received an Associate’s Degree in Human Services, through Central Community College in 2016. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree through Bellevue University in Behavioral Science. Tish plans to finish her studies by May of 2017.
Direct Care Staff
Joe joined Hope Harbor in 2015. He was born and raised in Fremont, Nebraska, and moved to Grand Island to a half-way house for substance abuse in 1992. It was at The Friendship house where Joe changed his life and was subsequently hired as their Live-In Assistant. He also worked at Milne Detox Center until its services were merged with Mid Plains CSU. While employed at the Friendship House, Joe was a jack of all trades and helped with building and grounds improvements, health and safety issues, training non-professional staff, purchasing, dietary, and assisting with construction/contractor relations. Joe received certification through Health & Human Services as a certified Peer Support & Wellness Specialist. Joe is also a United States Parachute Association Safety and Training Advisor for Crete Skydiving Center where he’s also a free fall coach and skydiving instructor.
Katie joined the Hope Harbor team in February 2017 as the Marketing Coordinator. Before joining Hope Harbor, she worked in Marketing and Project Management for eight years. Katie spends most of her free time attending various sporting events taking action shots. She resides in Shelton with her husband and three children.
Peachis joined the Hope Harbor team in January 2017 as the Service Coordinator. Before joining Hope Harbor, she was a Community Help Center Specialist for 3 years. She earned her Associated Degree in Human Services in 2010 from Central Community College. She is currently living in Grand Island with her daughter Treasure. Peachis enjoys teaching Dance Xplosion fitness class and volunteering in the community. She is also a board member of the Hall County Housing Authority.
Shelter Service Coordinator
Daisy joined the Hope Harbor team in November of 2016 as the dayshift Direct Care Staff. She was born and raised in Grand Island. Daisy is currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Human Services from Central Community College.
Part-time Bilingual Receptionist
Maria joined the Hope Harbor team in February 2017 as the part-time Bilingual Receptionist. She is planning to finish her Associates Degree in Business Administration. Maria currently resides in Grand Island with her two boys.
